What is the Amarnath Yatra 2024 all about?
It is an annual pilgrimage. Thousands of pilgrims take a foot journey to the Amarnath Cave that is blessed with a naturally formed ice lingam – the symbolic representation of the deity Shiva-Linga. The cave is in the Kashmir Himalayas, at an elevation of 3,888 meters. As you can see, this is not a ceremonial walk, not even close.
The journey lasts 45 days, from the end of June to the first days of August, each year. There are two main routes to choose from: the traditional Pahalgam route and the shorter Baltal route. The first option is more beautiful and easier, but the second is much shorter and, therefore, needs more preparation and proper acclimatization. Both of them offer you exquisite mountain views and thrilling emotions, but you need to make sure that you are ready for them.
Day 01: Arrival Srinagar - Baltal
Welcome To Srinagar. Meet n Greet Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport. Our Representative Help You to Transfer from Airport to Baltal Base camp, Book Base camp by own directly. Stay Overnight at Base camp in Baltal
Day 2 : Neelgrath - Panjtarni - Neelgrath (Amarnath Darshan)
After breakfast Proceed for Neelgrath Helipad, Board the Chopper and reach Panjtarni. Holy cave Darshan on walk or Pony/ Doli (own cost) and come back to Panjtarni Helipad. Panjtarni to Neelgrath drop via Helicopter. Return back to Baltal Base camp. Stay Overnight at the Hotel at Base camp.
Day 03 : Baltal To Srinagar
After Breakfast checkout from camp and Drive towards Srinagar, Check in at Hotel. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, Srinagar markets like Lal Chowk & an Evening Enjoy Majestic Shikara Ride on Dal Lake, Visit Mughal Gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden & Pari Mahal also Visit Kheer Bhawani Temple in Manasbal. In Between Take Lunch at Good Restaurant in Srinagar (at Your Own Cost). Stay Overnight at hotel In Srinagar
Day 04 : Departure
After Breakfast checkout from Hotel. Proceed towards Srinagar airport for journey ahead.
